It's time again
Died and went
To find a friend
Hiding
the hyacinth
It's been a while since
We've had the chance
To fly again
Colors changing
It's an angel's way
To remind us love
Is present through our pain
But struggle ends
And beauty rains
In golden warmth and flame
It's music to my ears
The crackle of tobacco
Walking down the back roads
Ghost in the smoke
Connecting hopes
Together souls can grapple
With words we never spoke
Afraid to let
each other know
How love has grown between us
And how much it means to us
Meeting
at the zenith
We can keep
No more secrets
Autumn teaches truth
And we can't refuse the lesson
Leaves are infinite
But all must make the passage
First we fall to ashes
Tragic but imagine
The Phoenix wings thrashing
Against the night sky
Like a star born of passion
Eternally alive
